The Hives frontman Pelle Almqvist returns as a guest on the newest installment of the Lipps Service podcast, speaking with host Scott Lipps about the group’s upcoming album, The Hives Forever Forever the Hives, working with the Beastie Boys’ Mike D as a producer and the larger Swedish music scene.
Almqvist also names such influences as Blondie’s Clem Burke, the New York Dolls’ David Johansen, AC/DC and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, weighs in on political correctness and the use of AI in music, lists his top five siblings in rock and whether he’d ever franchise the Hives.
