Jelly Roll just keeps shedding the pounds.
The country music star revealed a major milestone during an appearance on Pat McAfee’s Big Night Ah live show on Wednesday, April 9, announcing that he’s lost nearly 200 pounds so far.
Starting at 540 pounds, the Grammy-nominated artist shared his latest feat. “I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning,” Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, told the crowd, proudly showing off his toned muscles.
He added, determined, “I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden, baby!”
Jelly Roll reflected on the deeper emotional motivations behind his weight loss. During an interview on his wife Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde Podcast in December 2024, he shared, “I think that people who become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed.”
“What I want the world to know, and I want people to see … is that I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it. I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds. That’s insane,” he noted.
Jelly Roll’s hard work continues as he prepares to hit the road with Post Malone on the 2025 BIG ASS Stadium Tour which kicks off in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 29.
